No Turning Back

No Turning Back is a side-scroller survival horror game.  "You" the player are navigating your way down a monster infested hallway using nothing but the items you come across on your sprint at your disposal. Whether it be to hide, books to stun enemies, or turn on or off the lights in order to protect yourself from being killed. To escape you must reach the end of the hall, where you are then ridden free from the chase of the enemies. 

No Turning Back is an alt-controller horror title where you are forced to navigate a desolate space station riddled with monsters. The creatures can be fended off using various objects in the environment, such as turning off the lights or hiding in a room. 

Each monster has a different method of being dealt with, indicated by the music that is currently playing at the time of engagement. The player can only move forward, as attempting to move backwards at any given time will instead interact with the environment. For example, the books found on the bookshelf can be thrown a certain enemy for you to discover yourself which then is followed by that enemy being altered by that throw. 

Our game puts a heavy focus on the horror of apprehension. Should you continue, and potentially find yourself unable to defend against whatever finds you, or wait to use your resources without making progress?

Our team is made up of four game developers of varying levels of experience. Our skills are well-rounded, allowing us to focus on creating an original experience using audio, visuals, and programming.
